Confirmed for 2027: Hyundai has announced one 2027 Palisade change so far, the Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy Black Ink, at $59,280 (front-wheel drive) or $61,280 (all-wheel drive), each including $1,600 destination, with sales starting in July 2026 per Hyundai. Not announced: full 2027 pricing for the other trims. The current 2026 figures apply until then: 287 hp V6 (5,000 lb towing), 329 hp hybrid (4,000 lb towing), and prices from $38,935 before freight. EPA has already posted 2027 ratings of up to 34 mpg combined for the Hybrid Blue FWD and 22 mpg for the V6 FWD.

The Palisade was fully redesigned for 2026, so 2027 is a carryover year with a single announced addition. Release date: the only 2027 Palisade Hyundai has announced, the Hybrid Calligraphy Black Ink, was slated to reach dealers in July 2026; Hyundai has not published an on-sale date for other 2027 trims.
What is new for the 2027 Hyundai Palisade?
Hyundai’s newsroom has one 2027 Palisade release so far: the Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy Black Ink, announced July 7, 2026. It adds black-finished elements to the Calligraphy hybrid: a black Hyundai logo, dark-tinted chrome lower grille, satin-black bumper and skid cover, gloss-black roof rails, window surrounds, D-pillar trim and wheels, and black finishes on interior accents such as the steering wheel, door handles, air vents and center console bezels. It comes in Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Gray Pearl or Creamy White Pearl and is offered only with the 2.5-liter turbo hybrid. Hyundai has not published a 2027 change list for the other trims. The Hyundai newsroom releases reviewed for this page include no further 2027 Palisade release, so the Black Ink is the only announced 2027 change and Hyundai has not published full 2027 pricing in those sources.

How much does the 2027 Palisade cost?
Hyundai has priced only the Black Ink for 2027. Everything else below is the 2026 price list, labelled as such.
| Model | Price | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy Black Ink FWD | $59,280 incl. $1,600 destination | Confirmed for 2027 |
| Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy Black Ink AWD | $61,280 incl. $1,600 destination | Confirmed for 2027 |
| SE FWD (V6) | $38,935 MSRP, excludes $1,495 freight | Current 2026 figure; 2027 not announced |
| Limited AWD (V6) | $51,270 MSRP | Current 2026 figure; 2027 not announced |
| XRT PRO AWD (V6) | $49,370 MSRP | Current 2026 figure; 2027 not announced |
| Hybrid Blue SEL 7P/8P FWD | $43,660 MSRP | Current 2026 figure; 2027 not announced |
| Hybrid Calligraphy FWD / AWD | $56,280 / $58,280 MSRP | Current 2026 figure; 2027 not announced |
The 2026 figures come from Hyundai’s July 14, 2025 pricing release, which states MSRP excludes freight and that 2026 freight is $1,495. The Black Ink release says its $1,600 destination is included. Hyundai has not published the 2027 Calligraphy price in the sources reviewed, so the premium Black Ink commands over a regular Calligraphy hybrid cannot be calculated from official data.
What engines and towing does the Palisade offer?
The Palisade has two powertrains, both unchanged in Hyundai’s 2027 announcement. The specification sheet for the current generation lists:
| Spec | 3.5L V6 | 2.5L turbo hybrid |
|---|---|---|
| Output | 287 hp, 260 lb-ft | 329 hp, 339 lb-ft (total system) |
| Transmission | 8-speed automatic | 6-speed automatic |
| Maximum towing (with brakes) | 5,000 lb | 4,000 lb |

Sources: Hyundai 2026 Palisade features and specifications and the 2026 pricing release. The hybrid targets up to 34 mpg combined per Hyundai, which EPA’s listings now confirm for one version.
On October 15, 2026, Hyundai announced that WardsAuto had named the Palisade Hybrid powertrain one of its 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems. Hyundai’s release credits its efficiency, mechanical all-wheel drive, 329 hp and an estimated 619-mile driving range. Source: Hyundai: Palisade Hybrid earns WardsAuto 10 Best award.

What is the 2027 Palisade’s EPA fuel economy?
Unlike prices, EPA has already posted 2027 ratings:
The V6 FWD gains 1 mpg combined on EPA’s 2027 listing and the hybrid AWD gains 1 mpg, while the other versions are unchanged. The hybrid leads the V6 by about 9 to 12 mpg combined depending on drive, which is the largest efficiency gap in the Palisade lineup.
How safe is the Palisade?
IIHS gave the 2026 Palisade its Top Safety Pick+ award, for vehicles built after November 2025, according to Hyundai’s May 14, 2026 release. Hyundai notes the rating covers moderate and small front overlap, side impact, pedestrian front crash prevention and the updated vehicle-to-vehicle test. NHTSA rates the 2026 Palisade and the gas (non-hybrid) 2027 Palisade five stars overall, with four stars frontal crash, five side and four rollover; its 2025 entry is for the previous-generation Palisade, so it does not apply. One more safety item belongs in a buying decision. On March 13, 2026, Hyundai stopped sales of the 2026 Palisade Limited and Calligraphy trims in the U.S. and Canada over a second- and third-row power-seat detection issue and said it was submitting a recall to NHTSA. The recall was filed as NHTSA campaign 26V160000 on March 17, 2026, and Hyundai later updated its release (April 7, 2026) to say the final remedy had been finalized and launched. When Is the 2027 Hyundai Palisade Release Date?
The Black Ink was slated to reach dealers in July 2026, according to Hyundai. Hyundai has not published an on-sale date for other 2027 Palisade trims or a full 2027 model-year announcement in the releases reviewed. Hyundai has issued a 2027 Palisade-specific release only for the Black Ink, and EPA’s 2027 database already lists the full range of versions, which suggests a carryover lineup but is not an announcement of one.
2027 vs 2026: what changed?

| V6 FWD EPA combined | 21 mpg | 22 mpg |

Should you buy a 2026 Palisade or wait for the 2027?
- You want the Black Ink look: it is 2027 only, and Hyundai said sales begin in July 2026.
- You want the best mpg: the hybrid is the efficiency pick either way. The 2027 hybrid AWD rating is 1 mpg higher on EPA’s list, which is small.
- You want the lowest price: without a 2027 price sheet, compare a 2026 closeout against current 2027 window prices; do not assume a 2027 increase.
- You are buying a Limited or Calligraphy: confirm the power-seat recall status for any 2026 vehicle you consider.
