2025 Toyota Crown Signia: Power, Luxury, and Space

A lifted 2025 Toyota Crown Signia sedan gives us another SUV option in the Toyota line. But do we need another one? We’re literally competing against each other in the same brand. However, I will give three reasons why you may want to choose this.

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Review

Headlights and Grille

I’m Ekaras from Next Car Review. Standard projected LED headlights are standard. In the Limited trim, auto-levelling LED daytime running lights are configured into the top portion of the grille.

The lower part will have a more in-your-face grille, similar to the Lexus RX and NX, with 6.7 inches of clearance, around an inch more than the 2025 Crown Signia sedan. With standard LED fog lights, the lower part gets the gloss black. When you go to Limited instead of XLE, you can choose features. You’ll get the front parking sensors and a 360° reverse camera option.

Powertrain

All 2025 Toyota Crown Signias will have the same powertrain: a 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid producing a combined 240 horsepower paired with an eCVT transmission. You may want to consider this first because of the MPGs you’ll get.

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Engine

At this price, getting the luxury you’re getting, think about Honda, Hyundai, and even Mazda. You’re not going to get something this size, getting a combined 38 MPGs, 39 MPGs for the city, and 37 MPGs for the highway.

The standard all-wheel-drive setup means you’ll get more standard amenities when you choose this option than anybody else in its class.

Wheels and Safety Features

The Limited has these large 21-inch wheels, while the XLE will have 19-inch wheels. The same gloss black will house the fenders, the lower rocker, and the side view mirror with integrated turn signals in Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.

Going from the XLE to the Limited, you will unlock all of the safety features when you option it, as well as a large panoramic moonroof and a low-profile roof rail. So, when you’re thinking about that 2025 Toyota Crown Signia sedan and how they have the lower roofline, they’re doing it with the roof rail.

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Sunroof

You’ll get more headroom and cargo capacity here, but there is a trade-off: It will have some of that minivan look.

Practicality and Towing

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Cargo Space

It’s more than just practical; you can tow with both trims up to 2700 lbs. You’re it. You’re not towing a boat, but you could probably do a jet ski, which might look funny. Let me know what you think about that in the comments. The lower part will get gloss black with standard LED tail lights with the rear parking sensors.

The Limited also gives you a digital rearview mirror, about 170° from the rear. So now, you already have blind spots standard, but when you add that, you basically don’t have any blind spots at all.

Storage and Seating

The standard power liftgate will provide 24.8 cubic feet of storage, 1 cubic foot less than the XLE. Bag holders on both sides, underneath the floor, also add storage. The nice thing about the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is that you can split-fold the rear bench in the back at a 60/40 split.

That will maximize cargo to 66.1 cubic feet, 2.7 cubic feet less than the XLE. But a cool feature is you can fold these up so they won’t hit the back of the seats. They can fold out flat, giving you more space for the length.

Rear Seating and Space

Sliding into the centre, you do have some foot space here, but if you sit like this, what ultimately happens is my knees are going to be in the air, and I’m 6’3″. For a comfortable seat, move it down and share a little bit of foot space. Leg and shoulder space will not be an issue because it’s a relatively wide vehicle.

The headroom with the panoramic roof starts getting slightly lower than the XLE trim.

Interior Features

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Interior

10-way power seat adjustment for the driver is standard, 8-way power seat adjustment for the passenger, and standard heated and ventilated front seats. Leather seat upholstery, memory for the driver. The new 2025 Toyota Crown Signia Limited headroom and legroom will not be an issue.

You have plenty of space, and I’m 6’3″. The JBL sound system has 11 speakers, including a subwoofer. The auto-dimming and digital rearview mirror has a long panoramic moonroof.

Interior and Storage

This is going to be soft to the touch. It’s pushed back and opens up as he and she have a little storage bin and a USB port tucked underneath. I like that they do this; it’s found in Lexus products, so you’re getting a lot of that similarity with the driver-focused setup.

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Steering Wheel

The multi-function steering wheel has paddle shifts, and the gauge cluster provides the driver a wide range of information. You can change the layout for the centres on each tier or leave them blank.

Comfort and Interior Space

The seats are comfortable, and the footwell area is wide enough, making it good for long journeys. However, there are no manual cushion extensions, which is a con. It also lacks pass-through storage capabilities.

Limited Trim Features

These are things that you get on the Limited trim. The gold will brush down the centre, like an XLE, with the gloss black for the gauge cluster and the infotainment screen. Both are 12.3 inches with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sirius XM, AM/FM streaming, Bluetooth audio, and standard six speakers.

Standard Features

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Standard Features

The last reason I consider this is the standard features. You’re getting a ton of them, and when you pay four or five grand more for the Limited, you unlock any feature you want to add because you can’t add anything on the XLE.

Camera and Climate Control

Now, a reverse camera is standard. We have the upgraded 360° reverse camera, which shows the front and rear trajectory.

You can also change or remove the lines and click the “view” button right here, and now you have your bird’ s-eye view. Dual climate control settings, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, and five USB ports are standard.

Key Fob and Driving Modes

Toyota Crown Signia 2025 Driving Moods

The key fob for the new 2025 Toyota Crown Signia has the gold coming back into place with that glossy grey GL that will surround and highlight everything else. Selecting a driving mode gives you three different modes, and you can customize the driving experience.

I like this because you can go into your settings and make everything as sport-derived as you want it to be or keep it eco-friendly or regular.

Dashboard and Door Panels

The dashboard and door panel are configured together and have soft material only where needed. One-touch up and down for all the windows with a medium-size storage pocket. Unfortunately, there is no pass-through or sleeves for storage, which is a con for me for a luxury SUV.

You’ll have space and styling for the exterior storage beyond both front seats. Two USB ports, air vents, and cup holders with an armrest in the back and the door will have the same materials found in the front. Heated rear seats are standard, with a cup holder or beverage holder in the door pocket.

Performance and Driving Experience

240 horsepower is different from what this vehicle is meant for. It’s meant for great MPGs, all-wheel drive standard, and 6.7 inches of clearance, which is also standard.

So, when considering the Crown Signia sedan, you can look at the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia and see that you’re getting a more practical SUV. Turn the radius to start, and we will change this to sport mode. Let’s rock and roll.

I mean, look how fast that is—around 7 seconds 0 to 60, plus 39 MPGs because I am in the city from light to light, meaning I will stop every few seconds, and there’s quite a bit of traffic.

Driving Modes and Fuel Efficiency

When you change the driving modes, they change how you drive. Putting it into normal will drive the way your habits are after the vehicle has recognized you moving for a certain amount of miles. It will be much softer when you put it into Eco, so you’ll have to mash the gas pedal to motivate the vehicle.

Comparison with Lexus

Toyota Crown Signia 2025

The second reason I consider the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is that it resembles a Lexus. You are still getting somewhat of a savings, but on the con side, I would consider looking at the NX or even the RX.

When you go into the RX, the interior will lift a bit and have much more style. Plus, it comes with a 4-year warranty, whereas you get a 3-year warranty standard here. I like Toyota; don’t get me wrong.

When you start throwing in so many SUVs, you start becoming competition in your brand, and that’s what they’re doing. They’re just trying to fill up the segment so much.

Comparison with Original 2025 Crown Signia

The original 2025 Crown Signia was a big vehicle that emphasized luxury. While the new model emphasizes size, storage decreases. Cargo space is good, and towing is okay, but for a car over $50,000, I would like to see a base towing capacity of 3500 lbs. This would place it in the realm of Infiniti rather than Nissan.

Lexus Comparison

That’s why I keep comparing it to Lexus. Who would it compare against unless you’re talking about the RAV4 Prime? When you go that route, that’s a plug-in hybrid, which will get much better MPGs than this.

Would I choose this over a Lexus? I hate to say it, but I would go with Lexus. I would get this as a pre-owned vehicle because it boasts many amenities.

Features and Expectations

It has 5 USB ports, a standard wireless charging pad, and more. However, at over $50,000, I’m expecting a third climate control and maybe even ventilated rear seats. There are just a few cons that make this stand out.
